A simple way to turn a spare screen into a window on a favorite harbor.

Choose a harbor you know. That familiarity is part of the experience: a place you once worked, a waterfront you walk, or a stretch of coast you would like to see again.

Start with the water-level curve and its time labels. Leave the view in one place long enough to see a pattern instead of continually changing locations. The purpose is to make room for attention, not to add another stream of alerts.

Wakewing’s Coast mode hides the journal and most navigation, keeping the selected harbor and coastal observations in view. Use the fullscreen control when your browser supports it, and use Escape to return. Your harbor and unit preferences are stored on this device.

The first release focuses on Newport, Providence and New London. It is free to explore. Round map markers identify observation stations. When the AIS connection is active, a separate vessel layer displays received positions with freshness labels. The connection badge reports its current state.
